OK, that’s it. The moment I’ve been working towards for two months now. After working our way through ever more and more paperwork I have now booked tickets for myself and two volunteers (Johnnie & Chris) to fly from Ireland to Florida this weekend. In Florida we will be joining a number of US based volunteers. We will spend 2 days checking equipment, loading and packing it before travelling onwards to Haiti.

Unfortunately we could not getting any sponsorship or even discount for our flights so we had to use a size-able chunk of donated funds to purchase these. Luggage allowances are also not very flexible with a maximum of 23 kilos per person. But being that as it may at least we’re going!!

I will be tweeting, blogging and posting video reports while travelling and in Haiti so than you can keep up to date with our progress.
